My honours work was primarily focused upon music, specifically that of the piano. I developed a colour music code that tracks the lunar cycle whilst simultaneously producing an audio score. The resulting synesthetic experience provides a complete sensory exploration of the 28 day/night cycle.
I am continuing to experiment with innovative notations, attempting to eradicate the academic stigma that the traditional music score holds. My aim is to explore alternative, interactive methods to read music that everyone can relate to and understand. It needn’t be intimidating, I want people to realise that anyone can play an instrument, anyone can interpret music and everyone is born with musical capability.
